Flowering Filigree

After loving the result of my Wildflower Meadow card last week, I thought I would do another using the emboss resist technique. For this card I teamed some of the Flowering Flourishes stamps with the Filigree Frame embossing folder. Frame designs might seem a little restrictive in that they give set dimensions to work with, and some times you will come across things that are more suited to the standard size of card in America (cardstock sizes are different, so standard card sizes are different). However, you can often work around such apparent limitations. In this case, for the background layer, I only embossed half of the cardstock, then ran it through the Big Shot a second time to emboss the other half. To do this I positioned the top plate so the end of it was halfway down the cardstock. Alternatively you can cut the panel in half and just run each one through without worrying about positioning the plates in a special way.
